Support would plummet once people found out the details of the plan.
Why did hillarycare fail?
85% of Americans are fine with their personal health care situation. Wait till you tell them a government plan might not offer same level of coverage.
You think they'd support it then?

People being ignorant to how much better things could be is not a very impressive argument.

you're so pathetic to throw out percentages like that. Then again, look at all the likes!
Do you understand that everyone's personal health care situation is changing before our eyes? Nearly every corporation has abandoned the "Cadillac" plans with co-payments. Even the plans that still exist (in large benefit groups) have stipulations that are subject to a deductible.
The point is that the corporate healthcare companies have responded to regulations. They too are putting more responsibility on the customer.
So, what happens at this point with no more changes? Since very little of America even saves money (whether or not they can or not is irrelevant), until Americans can contribute enough money to their HSA accounts (that will take years), no one will have money to go to the doctor. Or, they'll have to charge it to a credit card...creating debt TO GO TO THE frickING DOCTOR!
I understand why healthcare corporations exist in a free market country, but I truly don't understand how or why ANY American can say that healthcare in America is "fine".

As usual, you're wrong.

Wait till you tell them a government plan might not offer same level of coverage.
Wait till you correctly tell them that it'll offer the same or better coverage at a cheaper price.

Not everyone is as backward in economic incentives as you...so yes.
