My buddies and I use to wade fish the hell out of the golf course back in college.
We actually never went down any of the peninsulas. Too many sharks as you get closer to the gulf. We would walk down the golf course board walk and then walk about 300 yards east, then wade out.
Pink super spooks in the morning for top water and then would switch to opening night lil jons and sand eels. 1/4 ounce jig heads. Try working around the crab traps and sand bar drop offs.

I’m at DI now. Caught a bunch of whitings, catfish, and a few 12” trout. Gotta be 15” min......
Fun for the 9yr old catching constant fish but no keepers.
Caught a nice 6lb trout 10 yrs ago in the area bbvdd showed.
