Well, I’d avoid oak cliff. I don’t know Dallas well, but there are rap songs about being from Oak Cliff. That should be enough of a hint.

North Oak Cliff is one of the most desirable in town areas of Dallas. You'll pay 350k for a 3/1 400 for a 3/2 and pushing a million for larger houses in Kessler Park. The area around Kiest park is an up and coming area and still affordable (275k) for young people and very safe. I have a single female friend that has lived over there for 7 or 8 years with zero problems. The bad areas of Oak Cliff are way south around Camp Wisdom and red bird mall or east of I-35 near the zoo.
