Prosper, Frisco and Mckinney would be no go’s for me based on your job location and how long you claim to want to be in a car each day.
I would avoid anything south of Dallas too. Not worth driving around to find newly gentrified areas amongst all the poors that live down there.
If you really have a seven figure budget then HP/UP/PH would be great. Basically as you go “out” from there you start dropping in price but you can get a good amount of house for mid to high 6 figures in east Farmer’s Branch and Lake Highlands. Addison, Richardson and Rowlett should have more than enough affordable options (mid 6 figures and lower) and still keep you close to work.
