Everybody is hitting around but not giving full info.
Very early tingling/funny feeling: Heavy Lysine can/will lessen it. Heavy Lysine will also cause diarrhea.
Half way to full blister: Witch Hazel or Rubbing alcohol every 2-5 minutes can shorten. Obviously difficult to achieve if at work or school. Alcohol seems to work better for me.
Precautions: undiluted bleach, fingernail polish remover, etc can and will cause equally bad burn/blister as fever blister itself.
Anti-viral prescription medicines are great but must be taken prior to or very early in development.
