HDHomeRun Quatro setup question

Ok, I think I'm about to go all in with Plex and add in a HDHomeRun Quatro (4-tuner) setup to utilize the Live TV and DVR functionality. However, I wanted to get the expertise here to make sure my setup would be ok.

-Purchase HDHomeRun Quatro and plug that in to my ATT Router (that I must use). I actually use Google Wifi pucks running from ATT router.
-Plug in Antenna
-Utilize my laptop, connected via wifi to download and DVR everything from plex.

I really have 2 main questions:
1) Can I record to my laptop, which is usually connected via wifi through plex?
2) Any issues with having the Google Wifi connected to the ATT Router that's mandated? I guess I could always connect the HDHomeRun to the google puck.


ETA: Ohhhh a downvote. I'm intrigued. Is someone anti-plex, anti-HDHomerun or anti-me?
