Sad thing is, of that 33 million he at best had about 10 mil after taxes, agents and support team and living expenses. More likely around 5 mil

Whoa, Jethro! Generally I’m the one making that argument, but you went overboard. He probably paid about 45% in taxes after paying $1 million in agents’ fees (it’s not as much as you think) and about $200,000 per year in (extravagent) expenses. If he had an 8 year career that means he had $30 million in taxable income. That yields $16.5 million.

How opulently did he live? He should have lived on $200,000 per year. This would have left about $15 million. That yields an annual income of about $600,000 for the rest of his life.

I feel like the NBA has a pretty awesome pension plan too and their 401ks are a 140% match. Whether he contributed, I don't know

What a shame to a very likable former LSU player.

Here's an article about him making movies?
LINK /

If he's resorting to selling drugs, all his millions are gone. Maybe down to a few hundred thousand and now he's about to spend it all on attorney fees.

It's not hard for these players to blow thru 5-10 million. A 2-3 million dollar house, a few failed business ventures and it will go quick.
