Wow. Ok. Last post on this subject because you're just lost.
Kap started the protest because he thought people of color were not being treated equally, especially by police. The only thing it had to do with money is the fact that in his eyes the people being affected were impoverished and didn't have a voice. His mission was to change the way those people were being treated, not to change their environment.
As a result of his protest the president of the United States held multiple town hall meetings on TV and police departments in multiple cities were out in their communities trying to better understand how they could serve better.
I'm not sure where your idea of money equating to the success of the protest is coming from. The awareness of the treatment of people and that opportunity to change that across the nation is FAR greater than any money he could donate. By the way, Kap is one of the most philanthropic pro athletes in the nation.

And what is the purpose of awareness without the resources to properly correct the situation? Raise money how exactly?

It is also an accentuated position that people of 'color' which he supports are being mistreated. In most cases the fault comes on a committed crime or felony. In most scenarios a lack of proper education = poverty = crime. In order to fix this, you have to change the environment starting with education which costs money. You act as if I don't understand the situation. What is the purpose of raising awareness if you don't intend to actually correct the problem? In this scenario his actions are indeed selfish and probably just for personal attention, to feel the personal gratification as if he was 'helping.
