Another issue is I can't find blades with the bent up leading edge like z man has. I buy flat blades, then use a pair of linesman pliers to bend the front edge up.
I find the bent up lip ones actually track straighter than the flat blades.

They also keep the bait from rising too much in the water column. Which is welcomed feature if you are trying to keep the bait deeper. Pretty much every other chatterbait I’ve tried rides too high in the water column for my liking.
