Football: Zac Stacy and Jonathan Krause. Something happened with Stacy that either he never really cared enough to play football professionally or that made him stop caring enough. He had a great rookie year then showed up out of shape, which did not make any sense for how he was lauded at Vandy, and never recovered. Krause has bounced around on practice squads since he left Vandy and even gotten promoted to active rosters a few times, but he was never able to stick. His contributions across from Jordan Matthews at Vandy were always underrated, even by other Vandy fans.
Basketball: John Jenkins and Festus Ezeli. Jenkins was such a fun shooter to watch, especially when he was feeling it, but he was just too deficient defensively to ever make it in the NBA. Ezeli was such a great story going from super raw Freshman (redshirted) to a pretty dominant big man, but injuries have derailed his NBA career. He was looking to be a good role player for the Warriors until the injuries started.
