The wife usually gets a cocktail, I usually get two. I havent bought a bottle of wine in forever, especially if I am eating steak, in which case I get a good scotch.
The last nice place my wife and I went to was La Petit Grocery (not a steak house) on Magazine, and even after 2 rounds of drinks, appetizers & entrees for both, tip and tax it was like $140.
The only way to go way north of $150 is to get 3 or 4 rounds of drinks and dessert.
