I don’t see why they wouldn’t. You can get gift cards for Disney World/Land
Husband’s work gave away a $300 gift card for Disneyland at their holiday party. Great if you were planning to go....but otherwise what would you do with that but sell or give away?

I thought they were just Disney gift cards and you can use then for Disney world if you wanted.

Bingo. Just because it's valuable doesn't make it a good gift. I'm just playing devil's advocate here, but it's common in the business world to use gifts like this to basically check a box without putting in any real effort.
