I also stated:
I did not make any statements that claimed LA. was one of the highest taxed states. That stat would be useless to me.
What is important is my tax burden relative to my situation and standard of living compared to other individuals with similar standard of living in other states. That information would only be beneficial to me and others in a similar financial arrangement and useless to everyone else. That information cannot be gleaned from these "studies" our politicians like to quote to support their cause, regardless if its from a non-profit organization.
