I've read some information online about using different brand bulbs with the Hue bridge now that ZigBee has been updated. I'd like some advice on which bulbs work best.

From what I've seen, Sylvania bulbs seem to be a good choice.

TIA

i dont know if the RGBW lighify work with hue or not..if they do i'm swapping all mine over TODAY!

i paired the GE link bulbs with hue and i do have a white lightify that i might try pairing as well to see what happens.

fwiw, those shitty ge link bulbs got decidedly less shitty after pairing with hue..have yet to lose connection.

Hue and Lightify

The color lights are not recommended. They are cheaper than Hues, but they seem have a number of serious issues in conjunction with the Hue bridge (not shutting down depending on their firmware version, not following the submitted color, starting up in red color, BAD color transition – especially visible with animations).

Generally, Osram lights are not recommended to be used with the Hue bridge. There are other light manufacturers who deliver products with better compatibility.

i'm quickly realizing those 4 BR30 lightify bulbs i bought are no hues. they really really suck.
