was legitimately qualified, made a great impression on Recruiter number one in the first interview. So much so, that she hinted the second interview was more of a formality and an opportunity for her supervisor just to check the boxes. Keep in mind I am currently employed with a very busy schedule and lots of responsibilities.

Second interview time comes and my meeting before the call runs long and I am rushed into the interview call, have to run outside of my current office and did the interview outside in the freezing rain so I could be discreet with my current employer. Next thing you know, the supervisor passed me over because my answers to her questions were not detailed enough.

Something similar happened to me while I was looking for a job. I had a VM from a recruiter explaining that she came across my resume and that I was exactly what they were looking for, for a certain job and that if I was not interested, could I recommend someone else. I called her back and told her I was interested.

She told me that the interview was just the formality. That it had to be done just to say it was done before they hired me. I went into the interview no different that I did any other interview. After the interview, I felt like it went okay..

Days go by and I didn't hear anything so I called. No answer so I left a VM. About a week after that I still didn't hear anything so I sent an email. A few days later, I was getting pissed.. So I sent another email. She eventually responds telling me she has been out of the office for over a week and that she hated to inform me that they decided to hire someone else. I asked her if she told the person they hired if they had the job as well, before they went into the interview.. She didn't reply... But I was pissed.
