I would say this is true to some extent, not sure if you have to build that many to break even on the materials and tools. I built one from the ground up and got all the tools to do so. Best part about it is now I can work on it if needed and I have a very good understanding of how the platform operates

It would have to be some really cut-rate parts right now for me to build a basic AR for what a complete one can had for right now. I have a NIB Bushmaster OCR collecting dust that I don't think I could get $500 for right now. Market is saturated and demand is now politically/incident-driven.
