Golf board, I am looking to pick the clubs back up for the first time since I was about 12 years old. Should I look for used clubs? If so, what brand and price range should I be looking at?
Any other tips for someone who is starting to play again after 8 years of not touching a club would be appreciated! Thanks guys.

i'd grab a used complete set or a new one from academy or dicks. you can pick up a decent set of starter clubs for <$300 to see if you want to get back into it.
you can get good name brand used sets off the bay or buy/sell/trade boards.
after a while you can have more of a feeling of what you like to swing and you can put together a set you want.

Facebook marketplace.
Can find complete sets for not to much. Tech hasnt really changed in the last 5-8 years, at least not enough for us commoners to notice. I see pretty decent sets going for 175-250.

Take quality lessons. I wish I would have listened to this advice years ago.
Club wise, I always pick up last year's models. Saves hundreds with little to no improvement than previous models.

Used clubs on eBay consult with a pro to get the right stuff. I had several friends take lessons at GolfTEC and they are kicking my arse now.
