Your biggest issue will be getting rid of the thinset. If it was crappily applied, you'll have an easy go of it. Problem will come in if you have to sand it down with a concrete grinder. Those things create TONS of dust.

I did 400sqft myself in my dining room and it is a legit PITA, but damn it looks great. I also had to use self leveling concrete to fill in the dips.

You’ll be better off doing a stained concrete overlay once removing the tile
