Not really. They were pulled from within the ranks of the organizations.
There is a natural bias to protect your own group. It is why independent oversight is important.

You mean like coordinating leaks to the media and using said media reports and a fake document created for the DNC to obtain FISA warrants?
Or using FISA as cover to spy on a private citizen?

Isn't Mueller still investigating? Furthermore, SHOULD he be investigating based on erroneous info to begin with?
