Most Walker Percy Books are set in South Louisiana- typically Southeast Louisiana- Nola area or Florida Parishes.
My recs- Love in the Ruins, Lancelot, The Moviegoer.
The Last Gentleman is mostly set in Alabama, but is a damn good read
ETA: Feast of All Saints by Anne Rice. Not one of her supernatural books, but a good piece of historical fiction about Free People of Color in South Louisiana circa 1840s-1850s.
