I generally rub one out while I think about one of my exes. If I am not relaxed enough to fall asleep after that, I do the old fashioned thing and count sheep.

it sounds crazy, but counting sheep in your head occupies both sides of your brain by counting and envisioning sheep at the same time...that usually crowds everything else out of my head and I sleep pretty quickly.
