I too like lighting my money on fire I have had it on my watch list forever but can't bring myself to pull the trigger and now with the new CEO talking of splitting up into separate companies tells me he knows it's bad. It will be a LOOOOOOOOONG turn around if it happens or you might become a bag holder.
Insider trading activity is public record, and it does not indicate that anyone with insider information is expecting to be left holding the bag.
CEO Flannery bought 60,000 shares on 11/15/2017, and 103,000 shares on 8.8/2017, these were purchases with his own money, and not exercised options. He holds a total of 621,000 shares.
GE Board of directors member John Tish bought 3,000,000 shares on 11/21/17, he only held 50,000 shares before that purchase.
Former CEO Immelt holds 2,607,596 shares and purchased 100,000 shares on 5/15/2017.
These were the largest purchases, but there were many significant purchases of GE stock by board of directors members and corporate officers in recent months.

Yea I've seen that. I think GE employees own like 60% of all outstanding stock currently. It does make me curious.
