They may be operating more lean than they were 5 years ago but I wouldn't say they are getting hammered.
You have companies like Acadian ambulance, Schumacher Group, Lemoine Company, Stuller, etc that are operating fine and employ thousands. Acadian is one of the best ambulance services in the country and has diversified into lots of other services

They need to ramp up their recruiting of tech companies, they were able to lure three to the city just a few years ago
