Bats are no joke when it comes to that shite. I think more deaths occur these days from rabid bats than rabid cats or dogs. Nobody ever hears about it though because it's so rare.

Deaths due to rabies from bats are so rare probably because most people who find a sick bat have enough sense to not keep it around, and would actually seek medical treatment immediately if a family member was scratched or bitten by the sick bat.

So sad that poor little boy died from this.
