that's true, but it's just terrible from a PR standpoint. The fans hearts were set on a big name big splash hire. I have to agree it was a bad hire, not that Ensminger isn't a good OC, he is and he is a big step up from Cameron and Canada as far as OC ability goes, but that the negativety from the fan base will outweigh any positives that come from this hire.

I'm very disappointed in this move. It was dumb on the part of Orgeron not to care about the image the this gives to the fan base. That Ensminger proved to be a very talented OC in the interim period is not relavant. Orgeron way underestimates the importance of good PR.

I must admit I just did not see this coming. It's not re4ally about ability. While that is important. Why give the angry portion of the fan base ammo.

The only thing I can think is they are never going to like him or accept him, no matter what, so why cater to them? I just don;'t see it being wise to just say " I don't give a frick what the idiot portion of the fan base thinks I just want LSU to be successful on the field" to be a very wise move. Because the idiot portion is very large and motivated to take him down.
