They do realize the Senate has to actually pass the articles of impeachment, correct?
The Constitution requires a two-thirds vote of the Senate to convict, and the penalty for an impeached official is removal from office.

Not sure. If their plan does not include the Senate then they are unable to move forward. I agree with the post earlier in the thread. Have a winning agenda and win elections.
