That’s almost this exact situation. Dad is a mechanical engineer and mathematically brilliant, but a social retard. He’s also a cuck and does whatever her tyrant mother tells him to.
Basically, she wants us to pack down a bunch of shite that we don’t want or need so she has an excuse to buy new furniture.

Just tell her you don't want or have room for her old shite that she doesn't want anymore.
Let her know there's plenty of charitable organizations who will come pick her junk up for free and she might be able to get a tax deduction for it.
