I would like to build one for my mud boat. Been standing on my RTIC but can see MUCH better when I’m on the poking platform. Like Bluemoons, I find it easier to cast a fly from a little bit lower point. Another reason I want one for the front is because there are a hundred different things for your fly line to catch on when it’s dangling around a surface drive and poling tower with rod holders.

Get a collapsible leaf bag at Ace or Home Depot. Bungee cord the bag to the front or side of the poling platform. Strip your reserve line into the basket. No more tangles except for the line hanging out of the rod tip.
