If it were 2017 and Hugh Thompson landed his helicopter between ISIS militants and a bunch of civilian journalists and relief workers they were about to execute, would he be a hero or a traitor?
Soldiers were methodically rounding up and shooting non-combatants. Hugh Thompson had the balls to try to stop it. That makes him a hero. One of very few that day.
