Any other QB's that LSU is currently recruiting for this class other than Foster?

Next class looking thin at this time too, but still way too early to tell.
As far as top-tier QB.

The focus will be on Foster. That said, the new signing rules make it easier to get on a guy now who may not have the offer he thought he had . There are guys who get bumped/ left at the alter and there are also graduate transfers.

You're right, it's still early. It just is mind blowing that we didn't have one we went all in on this year. I know we focused on Fields at the beginning of the year but that never seemed likely. As always, the lack of highly recruited quarterbacks in any class makes me very nervous...

I assume with Bohannon going elsewhere, it's Foster or bust.

Foster or bust. And it looks like bust which is ridiculous because now we're looking at 2 QBs next year. I've always been of the opinion you should have 1 QB every year. When 2 QBs are taken, one usually ends up transferring.

Of course. Melt now, with LN having 4 years left and MB having 3 years. Why not though...go for it.

McMillan leave? Or are you just jumping on the knee jerk party too?

I don't know but he'll never be a starter for us.

I'm just saying I don't like taking 2 QBs in a year after a year of getting none. Not the best recipe to build depth or competition

You're making an assumption that one of those guys has what it takes to compete in the SEC at a high level. Neither of them are guarantees.
How long have you followed CFB? QB is one of the toughest positions to nail down. You find that schools that have the most success with QB, recruit and sign more of them. It's a numbers game as much as anything.

LSU will surely add a transfer in if Foster goes else where........ You basically just need a warm body to backup Brennen and Narcisse

Not melting at all. I agree we have 2 legitimate QB's on the roster, just feel it's necessary to sign a QB every class. Just my opinion. For what it's worth, I think Orgeron is doing a great job with recruiting needs this year, we always need a quarterback though

I don't think it's crazy to add a QB each year even though we have 2 good ones on the roster. Most quality programs add one each year, just a good idea to have more options if needed. I like both Narcisse and Brennan, but Narcisse has an injury history which is well documented and we did not sign a QB the year prior

I know 1 usually transfers, but you take 2 next year, play 1 and RS one - that keeps the stagger - I agree with your broad principle that you take 1 QB every year, and occasionally, due to attrition, take 2. Having 1 for every class, including a 5th year senior, either as your starter or primary backup, seems to hold the most promise for depth and stability.
But, programs increasingly seem to have 2 or 3 "viable" and 2 or 3 camp bodies - either walk-ons, transfers, JUCO or some other combination that are purely insurance policies.

This is just faulty reasoning.
You say all we need is a warm body yet we don't know if Brennan/Narcisse are anything but warm bodies themselves.
We won't know until these kids are under live fire, so why are you guys making these assumptions?
Etling was our warm body a couple of years ago and he ended up being the guy, out of necessity because the guy we had pegged as the stud was not a stud at all.

All in for Quad Brown 2019

You are making an assumption that whomever we pick up will be an sec qb. I'll take my chances with ln and MB over any recruit we are in the hunt for. But, knowing you, bash and melt away. It is all you do.

It isn't crazy...but don't just take a Scott or McMillan either.
