BTW,

Even assuming the statement is 100% true, the ethical obligations regarding privileged information still applies.

There was clearly a lack of any notice and a reading/use of privileged information without consent.

Which privilege? We're talking about emails sent during transition so not executive privilege, and the vast majority of those emails aren't to personal attorneys so not attorney client privilege.

I say that in the knowledge that only an absolute fricking idiot would out the details of a criminal conspiracy they were involved in down in writing on a govt controlled electironic medium with a YUUUUUGE warning about nothing being confidential and everything being subject to Law Enforcement access.

(ETA: which you can interpret as me saying no there's not going to be smoking guns in the emails, perhaps a few people will be contacting special counsel in the next few days to apologize for misremembering things, but no Dear Vlad, send money and we drop sanctions type emails will exist)
