I'm honestly surprised this rule hasn't been changed yet.
If I'm a halfway decent QB with a fast receiver, I'm throwing it deep constantly.
Even if your receiver and the DB get their feet tangled up, they'll call DPI 75% of the time.

did you watch the SEA/JAX game?
Russell wilson literally did this 3 times and got intercepted all 3
