USC had two collapses.

They were running away with the game in the 1st half then Bush lateral and Vince Young knee down (no replay) but called a TD on 3rd down.

USC regroups in the 2nd half, starts just running the ball all game and starts running away with it again in the 2nd half...

But Texas makes a comeback...but all USC has to do is get two yards to seal the deal - and Bush is on the sidelines...not even a decoy...your best player, not even a decoy.

USC runs a basic run play with Lendale White and Texas sells out with everyone in the box and stops it.

Then on Vince Young's final drive he is about to get intercepted on a big 2nd down play but the USC guy just bats the ball down instead of picking it off.

Everyone remembers Vince Young being Superman and winning the game but USC lost that game with their dumbassery.

People forget that Lendale also fumbled the ball on the previous play, ended up losing another yard and a half. That was huge.

This is how people with a selective memory choose to think about the game I guess.

It was 1st down, and the result should have been 1st and 10 Texas from USC's 10 yardline. It's very likely Texas scores on that drive anyways.

Don't remember this happening either. Link?

bull fricking shite. texas was more talented (on and off the field), better coached, better prepared, and wanted it more. the only advantage usc had over texas was the officiating.
