I like this. But i hope they keep the fun aspect of the monster levels while you explore as well. I liked running though a field and slaughtering little creatures only to run over a mountain and then accidentally running into a pack of high level badass creatures i had to run away from.

I think this will remain in place, especially if you keep yourself "on level" and don't constantly tap into the extra xp stuff. That is a huge part of the game, creating danger in exploring without massive penalties.
