The winning formula for Gus is pretty clear.

I don't know why Gus doesn't recruit a new JUCO dual-threat QB every year.

au has a legitimate (notice I didnt say "good") chance to pull off an amazing accomplishment in the next four weeks. Of course if Malzahn does that he would likely get a nice extension. I think he stays regardless of what happens because they will want the next AD to have a chance at hiring a new coach and they would owe Malzhan a lot of money and this is a really really shitty year to be hiring a new coach
