If you put a lot of miles on your vehicle, you have to either go full size or get the Colorado if you want something comfortable. Where the Tacoma does well is off road, although Chevrolet has the massively overpriced ZR2 model Colorado 4x4 that might be even better. At that point you are approaching $45,000 though.
