when we started the season, growing pains happen. What they have done with our undermanned lines is nothing short of remarkable. Maybe he can turn it around. He embodies Louisiana, it would be nice if Cajun rainman could actually do the job... I'm starting to believe he can

Orgeron has always had a long road to survive here. To be a long term coach he needs to:

* Avoid the terrible season (this almost got him this year, but he survived it)

* Land consistently highly rated recruiting classes (Last year's finish was awesome. This year doesn't look nearly as good on paper. Strangely enough, Orgeron's biggest perceived strength isn't a sure thing.)

* Navigate the high profile coordinator pitfalls (He may be facing this already in the offseason...before he re-established the program. That could be a big problem)

This year looks like it will turn out to not be a disaster. If they win 9+ games, it will/should actually be viewed as a very good coaching job. Having said that, until Orgeron gets the program winning 10-11 games, he's one disaster season away from being fired.
