You tell me this before the season and I'm content.

You tell me this before the season and say 2 of those 3 are MSU and Troy and I probably think you're smoking crack.

I'm glad the ship has righted itself after those losses instead of fully capsizing, but any team capable of winning the 9 games LSU will end up winning under that scenario has no business losing to MSU or Troy.

Definitely a bizarre season.

Right, but looking behind the numbers, it's clear that there are explanations for those losses, including, yes, poor coaching. But to say it's all coaching is willful ignorance. Guice only just now got healthy. For most of the season, he's been gimpy. Key was both gimpy and out of shape. Our o line was a hodge podge of guys who didn't know what the frick was going on and took some time to gel. Our d line was so thin to begin the season, I'm surprised we didn't lose more games. These things are all outside of the control of the coaches and, actually, the fact that we have been able to get to where we are with the injuries and the loss of personnel to transfer (which can and should be expected under a new HC), expulsion or the NFL, says a lot about the coaching. And Etling has looked like a guy who went from being completely out classed to being at least serviceable and, except for the Bama game, actually pretty good. Far better than anticipated. That's good coaching. And he's gotten better as the year has progressed.

And those saying to put Brennan in are moronic. He's a kid with no weight on him who needs to be introduced slowly to college play. Same thing goes for Narcisse. I would rather go 6 and 6 this year to keep our young talent at QB from becoming head cases or from exploding into a disaster than win 2 more games at the expense of those guys' psyches.

But it doesn't matter because the people who hate O have their narrative and basically begins and ends with Troy, nevermind that even great coaches have losses on their resumes that should not have.
