Had the Glendalough 13 bourbon cask when I was there. Damn strong. Wish I was sober enough to remember all these better 
The story we were told was back years ago several of the biggest irish whiskey distilleries had to merge just to stay afloat during its big downturn. They decided to put all their marketing efforts into one brand and they chose Jameson. Why? It was in a green bottle so it was the easier to brand as “Irish” in the US ... had nothing to do with Jameson being better or worse than others.
