I followed Napoleons advice and got a Speed Queen washer and dryer (my LGs were taken out in July due to a direct lighting strike to the house).

They really are better...all analog!...and they wash and dry better as well.

Boo this guy. A twenty year old whirlpool is better than any machine you can buy today.
A ten year old is a little late. Pre 2004 was before the government started messing with them.

BUT. The clutch and brake assembly does wear over time.
