Interesting comments on the New Orleans subreddit before this story broke. Apparently some knew what was coming.

I'm one of the women in this article, and since word got out I've heard so many stories. It's a lot more than 25.
I'm heading to my current job and I hope my coworkers have read this. Especially the one who told me he likes the way I polish wine glasses and wanted to know if I use two or three fingers when I "polish" myself.
Edit: Apparently employees at Shaya were told if they shared the article on any social media there would be consequences.

It made me sick how John, Alon, and Octavio tried to defend themselves, and how Alon acted like he had absolutely no part in it. It was pretty much known that if you flirted (or did more) with Octavio you could get into management. I wanted to work my way up but other girls were doing things I wasn't willing to and were getting promoted before me.
I hope this article does something.
From another guy:

As a male, who is a former BRG employee (2 years), I believe every word of that story. Octavio is a fricking creep. All of those top chefs are douchey assholes who abuse their position of power over their employees. It's almost damn near impossible to bring anything to managers b/c the managers are all super bff with each other and the chefs. I'm sorry you had to put up with this and im glad you and so many others spoke out and are taking action with the EEOC.

Former longtime BRG employee here. Everyone has known about this stuff forever. Management is basically just reshuffled every time they do bad shite. This article was actually way less crazy than I expected. And it's way more than 25.

I hate to think it since I really love new Orleans food and restaurant culture, but we have heard these stories. Like all the celeb chef cokehead perverts, you know the one from Massachusetts.
My previous posts over the years mentioning this were always whacked

That's the thing. Reading that thread, the person you quoted has more than a couple of mental problem posts going back the last two - three years. And that's just what's right there on the Reddit profile. Objectively speaking, sounds like an unstable person not necessarily a credible source. Now, the number of accusers makes it seem like all doubt is removed, but we've seen the pile-on effect of these situations in the past and how they ended up being less than credible, especially these days when people have nothing to lose by making false claims that can't really be disproven.
Some longtime posters here who seem credible and confirm the general basis of the accusations. That's very convincing to me. Just a damn shame because I bad no idea about Besh and thought he was a good guy. Oh well, that's what happens when you form an opinion with no real basis, benefit of the doubt be damned.
If it's true, I hope he gets his and then some.
