I didn't see this posted here: LSU Picked Last
Finebaum had him on to discuss LSU being picked last and expectations.
He points out his age, now being the 2nd youngest coach in the country at 34.
What's incredible about Wade is how he conducts himself in an interview. There is no arrogance, yet he is a matter of fact.
The interview is about 10 minutes long, but near the end of the interview, he says that he gives it 3 seasons to be where he wants to be. This is obviously a safe and typical answer.
Obviously, being picked last will provide all the motivation he needs, but one thing he didn't really speak about is the unbelievable conditioning that he's know for and is doing at LSU. As many on here have pointed out, SEC basketball is on it's way up. Players are there now, and coaching is continuing to improve.
Further, he brings up the want and need to play in a high-profile NBA-type arena every season to prepare of the NCAA tournament.
There is absolutely no doubt in my mind that this guy will change the basketball culture at LSU; he already is.

another thing I like about him is that he includes previous years, as in recent years like last year, as "WE"; even though, he had nothing to do with last year.

it was a good interview, and the only interview that I know of concerning the subject of LSU being picked last.

My betting site only has National Champ odds right now. LSU at +50,000. Might put 10 bucks on it to win 5k

It is scary to think about how bad this team would have been this year if JJ had stayed. Wade brought in so many players that will contribute. JJ had 2 decent HS players coming in and wouldn't have been able to get anybody else.
