It’s not cord cutting

It’s a lot of things, but the prevalent thing posted on this board all year is that there’s no decline in interest and the ratings are impacted by several external one time events and luck of the draw with teams on national broadcasts

The local ratings puts that to bed

OK, so it's a lot of things, but it's not cord cutting (of which 20% of cable subscribers have done since 2014), it's not hurricanes, it's not CTE, it's not anything we have said, but it's a lot of things.

Just tell us so we can stop this dumb shite.

That's simply not true, at least on such a broad place as this entire board.

The most consistent thing I've seen from people is the idea that the NFL ratings are down, but they're still an absolute behemoth nationally. They're down from the peak, and there are multiple reasons that all play a part.

It's not just cord cutting. It's not just the protest. It's not just the quality of the product. It's not just the decline of fantasy football among casual observers. etc.

it is cord cutting. do people assume that cord cutters are always gonna use an antenna or the official app the game is on free to watch legally? sometimes those streams suck, NFL a lot of times i will pull up an Acestream Link or some shitty Ad covered link just to watch a certain game rather than whatever game is on the directv fox and cbs feeds i get at home.

more and more people are becoming capable of finding and using illegal streams than ever before. i have tons of friends using the fire sticks that they had reprogrammed to watch any movie or live sports
