This is the kind of thinking that'll get you the ole Malcolm Jenkins / Jairus Byrd swap out. We thought the same thing - for the money we could do better...set us back years!
There is value that Vaccarro has in running the defense and it's finally working. You guys are fools to want to let him go now.

I don't want Vaccaro to leave, but I also don't want to pay him 9mil a year.

It really wouldn't be like that all.
We let the cheaper option go to give Byrd the largest S contract in the league
If we let Vaccaro go, you can replace him in the draft or with someone already on the roster and save the money.
So if he wants top S money, let him walk. If it's a reasonable deal, keep him
