They were certainly a factor. There's isn't 1 thing that generally costs a team a game.

Of course not. But, I think we can look at the game and say, the most significant issue we are having is...

When MSU is running for 6 yards per attempt and you team with a limited QB ability can't run the ball consistently and can't protect long enough to throw it downfield, you've got a MAJOR problem. LSU could have had zero penalties and lost that game that night.

Could these not also be factors in getting destroyed by or getting beaten by inferior opponents?
Of course. That's my point.

But, you are rejecting the idea that the OL issue is significant and rejecting the idea that Orgeron didn't really create it.

You seem to think that you can't admit that Orgeron inherited a major problem (this is the truth) and still conclude that Orgeron is a substandard head coach (also the truth). Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

Lying about the OL play, or the level of talent diminishes your argument against Orgeron.. It doesn't further it. Be honest in your criticism.

I'm not trying to say they haven't played poorly. They have. I'm saying they have the talent (in my view), with the right coaching and game-planning, to play better than they have and not get manhandled by State and Troy. Again, yes, we have issues (arguably "major" issues) upfront. I just refuse to believe that a competent coach and staff couldn't at least slightly mask those issues. We at least agree that Orgeron isn't the answer. I appreciate you bringing actual rational thought to the board
