Possibly the buyout Orgeron has. If the BOS fires Alleva now, but they decide they don't want to pay O to go away; they may have a tough time getting one of those top tier ADs on the short list to come here. Who is going to want to take the LSU AD job to watch the biggest money maker for the AD go into the tank for a year or two before he can do anything about it?
F. King, Alleva, and O all need to go, but this is a completely fricked up situation right now. The BOS bares the blame for it all, and this mess won't get straightened out until they're either replaced, or they get their shite together.

Why couldn't they reassign Alleva to some other role in the Athletic Dept, where he doesn't make major decisions? With a pay cut, if possible. Then keep him until his contract runs out, and then let him go.

Everyone will know he inherited a mess. If he has to wait an extra year, he looks even better after he fixes it.
