I don't agree with this. While I'd have been comfortable with a great up and coming coordinator, I'd have preferred a proven head coach with a solid track record, even from a smaller school. Problem was, it's like we had no real list with potential candidates on it. or if we did, it read three names deep, and somehow our DL coach's name was fricking third.

But we need to stop suggesting that there were no qualified head coaches anywhere in organized football that were willing to come coach at LSU for millions of dollars a year, and THAT'S how we got Orgeron. Not suggesting you are, but it's been implied so many times that it's starting to become its own meme.

The $12,000,000 buyout should be enough to not only fire Alleva, but making his radioactive to any university looking to hire him as their AD after he gets shite canned here. That buyout is so mindnumbingly ridiculous that it ought to WARRANT an FBI investigation, but anything that crazy looking almost CERTAINLY has to be fishy.
