Google moral relativity and comeback and try again after.
Ok. I did work that you apparently don't want or can't do, from google:
quote:
Moral Relativism (or Ethical Relativism) is the position that moral or ethical propositions do not reflect objective and/or universal moral truths, but instead make claims relative to social, cultural, historical or personal circumstances.
Now I would have thought the meaning of the words moral and relativity were explicitly clear, but I'm a giving person by nature.

So why don't we give parents a year to decide if they want to keep their born fetuses? Because as a society our Morals determine our laws.

That went right over your head. I was simply responding to your firm stance of abortion being a good vs evil thing
Yes your argument was very simplistic, and it didn't go over my head, it went beneath my contempt!

What are you babbling on about?
Philosophical and religious discussion must be over your head!
quote:
I think it's a pretty small government conservative position to NOT want the governement getting involved in decision making like this for moral reasons.
Fortunately in America we are all entitled to our opinions!
quote:
Let science dictate the healthcare decisions that our government makes.
What a strange declaration!
1-Science doesn't "dictate" anything!
2-Science is a method to explore and explain our universe.
3- Scientific explanations are transitional until future observations and experiments replace them with new theories and explanatio.
4- Science has NOT "dictated" anything about abortion except for methods of its implementation.
5-If I've not been paying attention and missed the "Dictate", what journal was it published in and who were the authors. It hasn't so our decision of legal and illegal must be based upon right-wrong and good-bad. Sorry!
6- Your faith and trust in scientific dictators is alarmingly religious in nature!

We found something we can agree upon. Let's leave it at that shall we
