Thoroughly enjoyed being one of the few Caps fans in the building as they beat the Stars in OT. The wife was a bit perturbed, but everyone in our section agreed on two things about the Caps they did not really know before the game:
1. Orlov is f'n awesome.
2. Tom Wilson is a gigantic a-hole
I'm pretty proud of Tom for managing to get the entire crowd to boo him by the end of the first period. That takes skill.
The Metro is still so tight that I wouldn't rule anyone in or out of anything. The Jackets were in first place a week ago, and now they are in fourth, having lost two in a row. The entire division is separated by just 8 points from 1st to last. The Penguins are 2 points out of the wild card... they are also 2 points out of last place. It's just that tight. There are no great teams this year, nor are there any bad ones.
