Hell, I'd take Jim Mora. Get him a good DC and we'll roll with all that Louisiana talent. Even though it's a Cali school, the funding for football and facilities at UCLA is VASTLY different from USC. An excuse, sure, whatever, but I do know the man knows how to run a pass offense. His one bad year (last year) was when he lost his starting QB (over 3600 yards and 23 TDs as a true freshman) and what made that even worse was that he lost 4 of his top 5 pass catchers and his 1340 yard 14 TD rusher. From his team the year before.
Anyway he took a team that didn't have more than 7 wins in 6 years, who went 6-8 and 4-8 the two previous years before him, and went 9-5 his first year. He took a team that was anywhere from awful to mediocre passing the ball, into a passing juggernaut. A redshirt freshman by the name of Brett Huntley passed for 3740 yards and 29 TDs with another 350 yards and 9 TDs on the ground. He had a starting runner get 1740 yards and 13 TDs. He then followed that up with back to back 10 win seasons.
He's another guy I'd want to get on the coaching search.
